Holidaymakers cut vacations short, return home for referendum [ Domestic ]
Turkish voters have decided to return to their places of residence from summer vacations and the Eid al-Fitr holiday -- a three-day religious holiday that marks the end of the month of Ramadan -- earlier than in past years in order to vote in the upcoming public referendum on the constitutional amendment package. Others have cancelled plans to visit their loved ones in far-away cities during Eid in order not to miss the referendum.
